Book Club: Meeting with the author Sarah Staley

How does a difficult life experience change us, and how can it influence the way we lead, make decisions, and relate to others?
Can adversity become a source of greater self-awareness, empathy, and inner resilience – without romanticizing traumatic experience?
We will explore these questions with Sarah Staley, author of Alchemy of Adversity: How Emotional Intelligence Transforms Trauma into Leadership Strength.
This will be an open professional conversation about emotional intelligence, self-regulation, leadership, and trauma-informed practice.
We will explore how difficult experiences may subtly shape our decisions, relationships, and leadership style; what can help us move from automatic reactions toward more conscious choice; and where the boundary lies between coaching and working with trauma.
And, of course, there will be an opportunity to ask Sarah your own questions – about the book and the ideas that may be particularly relevant to coaching practice.
