Future Trends in Coaching – Expand your coaching toolbox

In this workshop Prof Jonathan Passmore will talk about the development of third phase cognitive behavioural coaching: a highly effective coaching approach frequently used by health interventions and which has spread to coaching. In the first part of the session, he will look at the development of first-wave behavioural approaches and how these can be used by coaches to support behavioural change. Secondly, he will explore the development of behavioural coaching, offering some practical tools and frameworks which attendees can take away and apply in their practice, as well as insights on the evidence of CBC as the most effective coaching model available. In the third part of the session, Jonathan will share insights from his new book ‘Third Wave Cognitive Behavioural Coaching’ with a focus on some familiar and some less familiar frameworks which are available to coaches, from mindfulness, compassion-based coaching, and Acceptance Coaching to new approaches which he had translated
