Dialogic Process Consulting: Metaphors, Mindsets and Meaning-making
In this interactive theory and practice program, special attention will be given to how implicit metaphors and storylines inform the mindsets that shape individual, team, and organizational meaning-making and action. Participants will learn how to “deep listen” for the underlying conceptual metaphors and storylines that may be implicitly limiting people’s thinking and actions and ways to disrupt limiting mindsets with “transforming talk” so that more effective ways of thinking and acting may emerge. How to intervene in-the-moment with how clients are meaning-making will also be covered.
The program will be led by Bob Marshak and will draw on the pioneering ideas and methods covered in his recent book, Dialogic Process Consulting: Generative-Meaning-making in Action. Both coaches and consultants will find this workshop hands-on, appealing and helpful to their practices.
