The whole world is talking about trauma. With so many going through trauma right now and realizing how past trauma is showing up in their mental health, physical health, and relationships, it has become essential for coaches to adopt a trauma-informed approach. In this session, you’ll learn what trauma is, how it decontextualizes and presents in your clients. You’ll being to learn the language of trauma, how to decode it, and empower your clients toward the healing they seek. This session will provide an introduction to somatics, covering both science and psychology and also highlight the importance of a relational approach to coaching. You’ll get to witness a somatic inquiry demo as well as engage in an experiential process of tuning into your own somatic threat and safety responses.
