Designing Your Life Coach Certification Workshop
The Designing Your Life Coach Certification Workshop is a deep dive into the life-design methodologies developed at Stanford by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans, and explored in their NYT best-selling book “Designing Your Life.” This certification is for professionals wishing to utilize the DYL design-thinking tools to help clients create joyful and meaningful lives and careers.
Join us and you’ll gain access to a comprehensive library of coach-specific training videos and workshop preparation assignments. Upon completing your preparation, you’ll spend 3 real-time half days learning with Bill, Dave and a cohort of professional coaches passionate about using DYL.

- You will be trained on all of the Designing Your Life tools and some tools from Designing Your New Work Life.
- We will be using a “flipped classroom”, with lectures pre-recorded and assigned as homework. That gives us more time in-class to work together on your questions, the application of the tools in real life, and more time for in-depth discussions about your coaching practice.

- 5-6 hours for the DYL CreativeLive Online Course Pre-Req
- 7-8 hours for DYL Coach Certification Pre-Work
- 12 hours for DYL Coach Certification Virtual Workshop
PRE-REQ's
1. Have an active practice as a life, career or university coach or mental health / human resources professional
2. Read both books: Designing Your Life + Designing Your NEW Work Life
3. Complete the DYL CreativeLive on-line class
4. You intend to use DYL with individuals or small groups (10 or less). This is NOT a license to teach workshops or deliver trainings.
