Diagnostics in Team Coaching Series: Coaching with Science
his session, part of the Diagnostics in Team Coaching Series, explores the science behind team effectiveness through the 6 Team Conditions framework. Melissa J. Sayer will introduce a research-based model that identifies the key conditions enabling teams to perform, adapt, and thrive in complex organisational environments. Grounded in decades of empirical study, the session invites practitioners to shift from intuitive or reactive interventions toward more precise, evidence-informed team coaching.
Through the lens of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Core Competencies, participants will explore how diagnostic clarity strengthens the coach’s ability to establish and maintain agreements, maintain presence, and evoke awareness at a systemic level. The session will demonstrate how working with clear conditions allows coaches to partner more effectively with teams, focusing attention on what truly drives performance rather than surface-level dynamics.
