MA in Happiness Studies: A Graduate Degree in Wellbeing and Human Flourishing
The Master of Arts in Happiness Studies is a fully online, accredited graduate degree offered in partnership with Centenary University and created by Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar and HSA faculty. The program prepares students to become leaders in applied wellbeing, happiness, and human flourishing.
The MA includes the ICF CCE-accredited Certificate in Happiness Studies as part of the learning pathway, allowing eligible participants to earn continuing coach education hours while progressing toward a graduate degree. The curriculum integrates positive psychology, philosophy, neuroscience, leadership, coaching, education, and behavioral science through the SPIRE model: Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Relational, and Emotional wellbeing.
Students gain evidence-based tools and practices they can apply in coaching, education, leadership, business, mental health, social services, and community development.
Students pay for 3 credits every 2 months, making the tuition structure more manageable throughout the program. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in any subject.
The program is offered in partnership with Centenary University and is designed for professionals in coaching, education, business, leadership, mental health, social services, community development, and related fields. It includes the ICF CCE-accredited Certificate in Happiness Studies as part of the MA pathway.
