Preparing to Lead
Leadership often begins before the title feels real.
Preparing to Lead is a virtual leadership summit for coaches, chapter leaders, board members, committee leaders, and emerging leaders preparing for their next level of responsibility.
This summit creates space to pause before urgency takes over. Through four focused sessions, participants will explore how to clarify what they are stepping into, shape the story that carries the work, notice the resistance that rises when responsibility gets real, and protect the people, trust, and energy their leadership depends on.
Each session includes teaching and guided integration so participants can begin applying the ideas to the leadership moment in front of them.
This experience is designed for leaders who want to enter service with more clarity, care, steadiness, and intention.
This summit is designed for:
Coaches preparing for leadership or expanded service
ICF chapter leaders, board members, and committee leaders
Emerging leaders stepping into greater responsibility
Coaches who support leaders through transition
Why This Event Matters
Many leaders step into responsibility before they have space to prepare for what leadership will ask of them.
This summit creates that space.
Participants will explore how to enter their next season of leadership with clearer intention, a stronger story, less internal resistance, and deeper care for the people and work entrusted to them.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this summit, participants will be invited to:
Clarify what they are stepping into before urgency takes over.
Shape the story that helps others understand the work ahead.
Notice the resistance that rises when responsibility gets real.
Protect the people, trust, and energy their leadership depends on.
