Cultivating Trust and Safety: The Foundation of Transformative Coaching
Trust is not a backdrop to coaching — it is the condition that makes coaching possible. Without genuine psychological safety, clients cannot access the vulnerability required for real exploration, honest reflection, or meaningful change. This workshop invites coaches to examine Competency 4 not as a checklist of behaviors, but as a dynamic, relational state that is co-created, sustained, and — when broken — consciously repaired.
Drawing on the ICF Core Competency Framework, this session explores the value of trust in the coaching relationship: what it feels like when present, what shifts when absent, and what the coach’s own vulnerability has to do with it.
