Ethical or Not: That’s the Question

Fulfill Your Annual Ethics Requirement with an Engaging and Thought-Provoking Approach

We will explore the connection between ICF’s Code of Ethics and our values and decision-making orientations. The session refers to an ethical orientation self-assessment (Moral DNA by Roger Steare) and includes two breakouts with mini-cases for exploration and discussion. Additionally, this session will focus on the ICF Code of Ethics, the role of ethics in establishing and maintaining agreements, and the coaching mindset.

Learning Objectives
• Deepen an understanding of the ICF Code of Ethics
• Deepen an understanding of the three dimensions of ethical issues: the ethic of care, the ethic of law, and the ethic of principles
• Understand one’s own “moral DNA” and influences on ethical decision-making
• Understand the qualities of ethical maturity and ethically mature decision-making
