ICF Coaching Science Community of Practice – Impact of Coaching Mindset on Leadership Style

Join the Coaching Science Community of Practice and Shruti Sonthalia, MCC, on Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 10 – 11:30 a.m. (New York) for an enlightening session on the findings of her recent research, “Evaluating the impact of embodying the coaching mindset on leaders’ paradigm of power,” and a thematic exploration of interviews with leaders from India, South Africa, and the United States. In the session, participants will discover how leaders perceive a shift in their paradigm of power and leadership style—from a top-down approach, rooted in the power-over paradigm, towards greater power-sharing, based on the power-with paradigm. Additionally, research insights indicate a transition in leaders’ organizational roles from problem-solving to facilitating and their perception of their team members as more resourceful and whole.
