ICF Team and Group Coaching Community of Practice – Neurodiversity: What Coaches Must Know

Please join the Team and Group Coaching Community of Practice and Morwenna Stewart on July 27, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. ET (New York) for an exploration on how we embrace difference in coaching. Officially, 15% to 20% of people are ‘neurodivergent (ND)’ (autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, dyspraxic, dyscalculic, Tourette syndrome, and others). However, data on underdiagnosis suggests that figures may be closer to 30% to 40%. Therefore, every team and group coach will work with ND clients – whether each party knows it or not. ND minds work differently – often with more extreme strengths and struggles. Most people will have issues with executive functioning skills. Many have experienced trauma. That can be from being ‘othered’ or being excluded and not knowing why.
