Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus – A Coaching Perspective

The book “Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus” that John Gray published in 1992 became immensely popular for its exploration of gender differences in communication styles and relationships. Influenced by this , we looked at how this affects the Coaching ecosystem. The small study looked at understanding gender differences in the selection of coaches, and if the coaching process is influenced by the gender of the coach and coachee. We also attempted to look at :
1. Are these differences the same in India and in countries where coaching is a more mature profession.
2. What can be our learning from sociology and biology which would help us become better coaches?
