The ”Yes, AND…” Experience

What if the skills that make you a great coach — presence, curiosity, and empathy — could be strengthened through play?

This event is presented by The Ottawa Chapter of the ICF for the International Coaching Week (ICW).

Event schedule or other information/comments
The workshop will be held from 10:30 to 13:00. Please bring your lunch, as we will transition into a networking lunch from 13:00 to 14:00.

Strengthen your intuition and creativity as a coach through play! This unique and fun improv session will remind you about the power of listening bravely, adapting quickly, and supporting your clients in an authentic way.”

Improv Theatre is all about being fully present, adaptable, and ready for whatever shows up.

For coaches, that’s right in your wheelhouse.

Client sessions are often unscripted, and the most powerful moments happen when you’re not clinging to a plan, but responding in real time to whatever the client is bringing.

Improv gives coaches a space to learn presence under pressure — to really listen, to trust your instincts, and to build on what’s being offered instead of trying to control it. Improv training is like a hands-on practice for those skills at the heart of being an effective coach: curiosity, flexibility, empathy.
