What is Super-Vision, anyway (vs. Mentoring, vs. Coaching)?!

Coaching Super-Vision is a powerful way to enhance your capacity as a coach by creating intentional reflective space to explore your work as a coach, whether individual (1:1 with a coach supervisor) or in community (group supervision), resource yourself so you’re able to show up for clients at your best, and wrestle with tricky challenges and situations that inevitably arise in our coaching practice.

Coaching Super-Vision helps us learn more about who we are and how we are as coaches and human beings. Super-Vision is a non-judgmental, co-learning partnership in which a coach brings their coaching work experiences to a coaching super-visor to explore challenges, ethical dilemmas, emotional responses, patterns and questions, and places where personal bias and beliefs may get in the way of their coaching flow. The reflective dialogue of the super-vision space supports coaches’ ongoing development as a coach, including expanded awareness, capacity, and perspectives.
