Applying the Cape Cod Model to Coaching
This program introduces the Cape Cod Model as a practical, step-by-step framework for coaching. You will learn what it means to build trust with your clients and why it’s so important. You’ll practice helping clients see the value in what they’re already doing before moving toward new desired outcomes, learn to create experiments that allow clients to try out new behaviors, and experience what it means to complete a unit of work in a satisfying and meaningful way. The program will explore the use of polarities in coaching and why the “paradoxical theory of change” is such an important concept for growth and change, advancing your abilities as a coach.
Through lectures, demonstrations, discussion, and one-on-one practice with faculty feedback, you’ll develop practical skills you can apply immediately in your coaching practice.
This program is ideal for coaches seeking to strengthen their coaching capabilities, earn ICF CCE hours, or pursue an advanced coaching certification.
