The Center for the Advancement of Well-Being (CWB) is located at George Mason University, serving university populations and external audiences. Our senior scholars and scientists are engaged in research that deepens our understanding of the science of well-being and evidence-based practices. CWB offerings include programs and resources for students, faculty, and staff along with executive education programs for organizations, agencies, and individuals.

Ellen Fulton, MCC

The LCOWB program is taught by a variety of ICF-certified coaches with varied backgrounds and led by Ellen Fulton, MCC. Ellen has worked with thousands of leaders across five continents and multiple industries. She challenges clients to do their inner work since success is directly proportional to self-awareness. As Associate Faculty at GMU’s Center for the Advancement of Well-Being and Managing Principal of the Washington Coaching Group, Ellen leads several coach education offerings including LCOWB, the Masterful Coaching Course practicum, and Conversations2Mastery.

Leadership Coaching for Organizational Well-Being Certificate Program

The Leadership Coaching for Organizational Well-Being executive certificate program will equip you to make positive change in your team and organizational culture. The LCOWB certificate is an ICF accredited Level 2 coaching education program where participants prepare to become either an ACC or PCC credentialed coach. This experiential program has a research-based curriculum that aligns with the ICF requirements and coaching competencies while emphasizing strengths-based approaches and methodologies. Our transformative practices deepen self-awareness, develop coaching presence, and facilitate organizational well-being. This foundational program will prepare individuals to grow their knowledge in the field of coaching.

Apply for our next cohort from February 2026 through June 2026. Classes meet Wednesday through Friday once per month. Please see the website for the full 5-month schedule.

An early bird discount of $1000 is being offered to those who apply, are accepted, and pay by Friday, October 17, 2025. Program registration deadline: Saturday, January 10, 2026.

We offer a 10% discount for George Mason alumni, faculty and staff, ICF DC Metro members, and organizations that send 3+ participants. Only one discount can be applied.
