George Mason University, Center for the Advancement of Well-Being

The Center for the Advancement of Well-Being (CWB) is located at George Mason University, serving university populations and external audiences. Our senior scholars and scientists are engaged in research that deepens our understanding of the science of well-being and evidence-based practices. CWB offerings include programs and resources for students, faculty, and staff along with executive education programs for organizations, agencies, and individuals.

Ellen Fulton

The LCOWB program is taught by several ICF-certified coaches from diverse backgrounds and led by Ellen Fulton, MCC. Ellen has worked with thousands of leaders across five continents and multiple industries. She challenges clients to do their inner work since success is directly proportional to self-awareness. As Associate Faculty at GMU’s Center for the Advancement of Well-Being and Managing Principal of the Washington Coaching Group, Ellen leads several coach education offerings including LCOWB, the Masterful Coaching Course practicum, and Conversations2Mastery.

Dr. Pam Patterson

Dr. Pam Patterson is Associate Vice President of University Life at George Mason University with combined experience in leadership and university administration. She is also the Senior Coaching Fellow at the Center for the Advancement of Well-Being. Her professional interests are in the science and application of individual and organizational well-being, leadership, and coaching and holds a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

OPEN HOUSE – Leadership Coaching for Organizational Well-Being Certificate Program

Join the open house to learn about the Leadership Coaching for Organizational Well-Being executive certificate program which will equip you to make positive change in your team and organizational culture. The LCOWB certificate is an ICF accredited Level 2 coaching education program where participants prepare to become either an ACC or PCC credentialed coach. This experiential program has a research-based curriculum that aligns with the ICF requirements and coaching competencies while emphasizing strengths-based approaches and methodologies. Our transformative practices deepen self-awareness, develop coaching presence, and facilitate organizational well-being. This foundational program will prepare individuals to grow their knowledge in the field of coaching.

Register now for this virtual open house and connect with our faculty. Have all your questions answered to apply for the program. An early bird discount is offered to those who apply, are accepted, and pay by Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Applications accepted through Friday, July 12.

Classes meet Wednesday through Friday once per month over 5 months, from September 2024 through January 2025. Please see the website for the full 5-month schedule.
