Picking Coaching Moments as a Career Coach
Career work often lives at the edge of coaching, advising, mentoring, and strategy. For coaches who support job seekers, career changers, and leaders in transition, one of the most important skills is knowing when to coach, when to advise, and when to pause before answering too quickly.
In this session, Tiffany Dedeaux, MCC, will explore what it means to recognize and choose your coaching moments with greater intention. Drawing from her own journey as a career coach and mentor. Tiffany will offer a grounded look at how coaches can stay connected to curiosity, client agency, and the coaching relationship even when the client is asking for answers.
Participants will explore:
■ Why some moments invite coaching while others call for another kind of support
■ How to notice when your expertise may be taking over the conversation
This is also a lead-up to the Career Coach Training Summer Cohort, designed for coaches who want to deepen their ability to support people through transition.
