Trauma Awareness in Coaching

As coaches and human development practitioners, we come across trauma in our work. Sometimes it is trauma in a client. Other times, it’s our own buried, and possibly unidentified trauma, that muddies the waters of a client session.

Trauma Awareness In Coaching aims to help you become more sensitive to trauma, whether in yourself or in your client and to help you realize that trauma need not be the daunting ogre that so many fear. [Ironically, the word itself can be traumatizing]. Expect to learn how to spot trauma when it rears its ugly head and to gain the confidence to hold a safe space for you and your client when it does. Our hope is, that by the end of the course, when working with a client experiencing trauma, you will have the compassion to allow the trauma to be identified and embraced, and the confidence to refer the client to a higher level of care if necessary.

Designed for people in growth professions: coaches, organiz consultants, therapists, and spiritual directors.
