From Client Resistance to Discovery
Developing oneself as a coach is not only about learning new models and frameworks, but also about navigating in-session dilemmas that require you to strategically tango with the issues at hand.
This workshop explores what happens when your client pushes back, deflects, or shuts down. Many of us work around such moments — soften the question, redirect, move on.
But resistance is not a disruption to coaching. It is coaching material — often the most important material your client will offer you. The question is whether you’ve done the inner work to be comfortable with it and the skill to play with it.
We will practice staying with resistance long enough to hear what it’s protecting — the difference between a coach who redirects and one who steps in with curiosity.
Grounded in ICF CC4: Cultivates Trust and Safety — not as a concept, but as choices you make when your client’s walls go up.
Participants receive a complimentary Coach Bytes micro-course after the session.
