The scaling technique in career coaching. Preparing for the most difficult questions in a selection interview
In career coaching practice, we often meet people who want support in their self-awareness and discovery process so they can present themselves authentically in recruitment processes for a new job, especially during interviews. Questions that focus on the candidate’s personality are often the most challenging.
One major reason is that candidates rarely ask themselves in advance the kinds of questions interviewers will raise, such as: What are your strengths? What would you like to improve about yourself? A second reason is that, even after gaining this self-awareness, they may struggle to express it in a way that feels both appropriate and authentic in an interview setting.
Learning objectives of this session:
– Use the scaling technique in coaching sessions with clients in career transitions
– Facilitate clients’ self-awareness and self-discovery processes
– Guide clients in translating authentic insights into language suitable for job interviews
